“I returned to drawing on retiring to Driffield from West Yorkshire, where I had spent most of my life. Based on watercolour, with drawing pens, and pastel to highlight, I prefer the term mixed media for my works.
I tend to lean towards realistic images. Inspired by a talk last year on Japan, some of the images displayed here have an Oriental theme. The remainder are studies of ornamental Spanish helmets.”
